Wrecks (She/her) is a self-taught multi-media artist from Chicago. Her focus is in making electronic music and text-based compositions.
Since her introduction into music production in 2017, Wrecks has worked to create music and DIY visuals focused in the Black Femme electronica aesthetic.
Though her introduction to design started with music, Wrecks has worked since early 2021 to redefine for herself, what it means to be an artist in adulthood. How does one feel validated as an artist outside of traditional institutions?
Through design, Wrecks has been able to explore and transform her own understanding of the ownership of creative processes.
